Big Update: Punjab Decides on Winter Vacation Extension 2026

Confusion has spread across Punjab following social media claims about possible changes to the current winter vacation schedule for educational institutions.  Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has twitted and posted his decision social media regarding the School and college Winter vacations in Punjab. He clarified that department has no mood to extend current winter vacations. According to Rana Sikandar present social media post schools and colleges will be re-opened on 12th January 2026.

Education Minister Punjab dismissed social media circulating news regarding the extension of holidays. He declared that social media posts are misleading and false. Teachers and students should ready to attend their schools after winter vacation on 12th January 2026.

Punjab Schools and Colleges Winter Vacation Extensions Update 

Punjab School and college education departments has declared officially winter vacation period 22th December 2025 to 12th January 2025. All public and private education institutions will follow the decision of Punjab Government Rana Sikandar Hayat.
